A Meeting of Minds on the Pacific in Wellington

Roger Moore (EC), Chris Seed (NZ), Richard Rowe (Australia),
the three prinicipals at the trilateral consultations
On 6th October, the EC, New Zealand and Australia - the three largest aid donors in the Pacific - held their annual trilateral consultations, hosted this time by the New Zealand Government. The EC side was led by DG DEV Director Roger Moore and included EC Heads of Delegation and Chargés d'Affaires a.i. based in the Pacific as well as representatives of the European Investment Bank. In a day characterised by open discussion, the partners reviewed practical ways of improving the coordination of their work in the region. Before the trilateral discussions, the delegation had various meetings, including with New Zealand civil society and the PM's office. The three EC Ambassadors present at the trilateral consultations also made a presentation at the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs.
