Opening of the Exhibition at the Royal Australian Mint in Canberra

This Exhibition depicts the history, achievements and goals of the EURO, the new international currency.  For most people the EURO became a part of their everyday lives from 1 January 2002 when the EURO notes and coins came into circulation.  However, the euro has been legal currency from 1 January 1999. The EURO has now been adopted by 12 of the 15 Member States of the European Union.
