Fighting climate change: Mekong
Climate change affects all countries but not with the same intensity. Poorer areas of
the world are among the most vulnerable. In most countries of the developing world,
climate change threatens to destroy development efforts and make living conditions
impossible. On the Asia peninsula, the Mekong River and Delta provides the
breadbasket of the region but is also one of the most vulnerable regions in terms of
climate change. This video shows how together with local authorities, NGOs and
other international institutions, the EU provides assistance and funding for territorial
adaptations and disaster preparedness.
