INTRODUCING THE WINNERS OF THE BALLOON FLIGHT FOR TWO

EUROPE STREET FESTIVAL 6 FEBRUARY 2010

The Wolnicki family from Canberra received a double prize this week - husband Mat entered the draw at the Europe Street festival and won a balloon ride for two in the European Union's hot air balloon, and wife Aleks became an Australian citizen.

"We were thrilled to hear that we had won a balloon ride in the EU balloon. We have seen it in the early mornings, and it has been one of our dreams to soar in the skies over Canberra. It was very special for us, especially as I received Australian citizenship just the day before." said Aleks.

Sons Bruno and Kosma came to the Delegation to help Mum and Dad collect the prize. Both boys were born in Australia, while Mat, who hails originally from EU Member State Poland, has been in Australia since he was a child, and Aleks arrived just six years ago.
